Sharing Sunday: The Best Home Decorated Cakes!

Once a month I like to have a bit of cakey love fun with my local home baking (not cake industry sellers) facebook fans. They get to upload and share one homemade cake to my page wall and receive loads of positive feedback for their creative efforts. And because I am super awesome, as a special token of appreciation I always offer the chance to win a couple of small thank you gifts!

At the moment, the fantastic Cairns Craft Centre at the Show grounds Shopping Centre has been donating the goodies. Everything from cake boards to piping tips and cupcake cases!

My own special criteria that is not about skill but the genuine love and effort put into the cake/ cookie/ cupcake / cake pop.

Now I gotta tell you that every cake that gets uploaded is awesome! They REALLY are! No sugar snobbery here! A variety of skills and abilities all sharing the spotlight and all receiving loads of cakey love and encouragement to keep on baking and decorating!

I get so much positive feedback for creating this community event, everyone loves the opportunity to share their creations and I suddenly had a light bulb moment...

I thought "Hey?! Why aren't you publishing these super fab creations on your blog? HELLO!"

I know right! How could I have not thought of this before!

Wow! It was uber hard to pick just one this month. All the cakes screamed LOVE!! I just couldn't make up my mind, I was inboxing friends for help - they couldn't pick either. So what's a girl going to do? Ask little Miss 4 to pick for me of course! Now I must warn you, she's a terribly biased fan of Frozen especially Anna and Olaf so ahem, it's not a surprise she picked this one!! A fabulous Frozen themed cake using Licensed figures.
